Competitors from outside of South Africa who wish to participate at Off Road North events must first request a letter of invitation via the online form.
On receipt of the invitation letter please submit same to your home federation (ASN) and request a "start permission" to compete at the event.
Once you receive the start permission please forward the following documents to poka@motorsport.co.za:
A copy of the competition licence issued by your home ASN
A copy of your passport
The start permission issued by your home ASN
Completed MSA International competitor's medical insurance form (download below)
Proof of payment for the MSA international competitor's medical insurance fee
MSA will then send confirmation of your insurance confirming that you have permission to start the event.
The onus is on the competitor to apply for the invitation letter via the online form, submit same to their home federation and follow up with them to obtain their start permission.

The process to compete at events outside of South Africa for example in Botswana or Namibia is the reverse of the procedure for non-MSA licence holders wishing to compete in SA.
Request a letter of invitation from the organisers or promoters of the event you wish to compete in.
Submit the letter of invitation to poka@motorsport.co.za and request that MSA issue you with a "start permission" to compete at the event in question.
Submit the MSA start permission received to the host Federation (ASN) i.e. Botswana Motor Sport or Namibia Motorsport Federation together with:
A copy of your MSA competition licence
A copy of your passport
The start permission issued by MSA

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING MEDICAL INSURANCE / COVER AT EVENTS OUTSIDE OF SA.
Please check with Motorsport South Africa prior to entering an event outside of MSA's jurisdiction to confirm whether the medical cover taken out with your competition licence is valid for the event you are competing in as well as the terms and conditions for cover - i.e. you may be required to cover your costs in the country you are competing in and then claim the costs back from MSA.
NB: You need to check with your medical aid whether you are covered for motorsport competition in the country you will be competing in, this is not always the case and you may find yourself needing urgent medical care without arrangements in place for hospital admission.
The onus is on each competitor to follow the procedure above and obtain the necessary start permission and to make arrangements for medical insurance via their medical aid or insurance broker.
